Skills FC was born from a simple love of the ball.

Long before we were a club, before the uniforms, leagues, tournaments, and UPSL games, there was Monday In The Lot — a weekly gathering where players from different backgrounds, skill levels, cultures, and styles came together for the same reason: to play.

That spirit still drives everything we do.

Skills FC is not just a soccer club. We are a player-development community built around creativity, courage, discipline, and belonging. We believe the game is at its best when it brings people together, challenges them to grow, and gives them a place to express who they are.

Our mission is to develop confidence, character, and community through soccer.

Why we are all in on futsal

Futsal is not a side program for us. It is central to who we are.

The modern player needs more than size, speed, and athleticism. Players need comfort under pressure. They need fast feet, faster decisions, creativity in tight spaces, courage on the ball, and the ability to solve problems in real time.

That is what futsal teaches.

On a smaller court, with fewer players and less time to think, players are constantly involved. They touch the ball more. They defend more. They attack more. They transition more. They learn to play with their head up, combine quickly, use both feet, and make decisions under pressure.

Futsal develops the player inside the player.

It rewards bravery. It exposes weakness. It builds skill, confidence, imagination, and accountability. It is one of the clearest bridges between technical training and the real game.

That is why Skills FC is all in.

We believe futsal can help Minnesota players close the development gap. We believe it can create smarter, more technical, more confident players. We believe it can give players from Burnsville, Apple Valley, and the south metro a pathway to compete with anyone.

Representing Burnsville and Apple Valley

Our men’s team represents more than a roster.

It represents the communities that shaped us.

Burnsville is where our training home is. It is where players come to work, grow, compete, and belong. Apple Valley has also been central to our competitive identity, giving our teams fields, games, and a place to represent the south metro with pride.

Together, Burnsville and Apple Valley reflect who we are: diverse, hard-working, competitive, and full of untapped soccer talent.

We are proud to represent this area because we believe the south metro deserves a serious soccer and futsal club. A club that gives young players role models. A club that gives adult players a platform. A club that connects youth development to high-level competition. A club that does not just talk about pathways, but builds them.

When our men’s team steps on the field, they are playing for every young player in our academy who dreams of the next level. They are playing for local families, local schools, local fields, and local pride.

They are playing for Burnsville. They are playing for Apple Valley. They are playing for the future of the game in our community.

A complete pathway

Skills FC is built for long-term development.

We serve players from their first touches in the game through competitive youth soccer, futsal, technical training, camps, leagues, tournaments, and adult competition.

Our goal is not simply to build teams.

Our goal is to build players.

Players who are technical. Players who are creative. Players who are confident. Players who understand the game. Players who can compete in different environments, against different styles, and under real pressure.

Through soccer and futsal, we want players to learn how to compete, how to communicate, how to lead, how to fail, how to respond, and how to keep growing.

Where we are headed

We are building something bigger than a season.

Skills FC is working toward becoming the home of soccer and futsal development in the south metro — a place where players of every background can find opportunity, identity, and a pathway forward.

Our future is rooted in futsal, community, and high-level player development.

We want to grow the game locally. We want to create more meaningful opportunities for youth and adult players. We want to build a stronger soccer culture in Burnsville, Apple Valley, and the surrounding communities. We want our players to believe that the next level is not somewhere else — it can start here.

From Monday In The Lot to the UPSL, from youth futsal to adult competition, from local courts to regional and national opportunities, Skills FC exists to prove what can happen when passion, skill, culture, and community come together.

This is who we are.

We are Skills FC.

We are all in.
